Esophageal perforation.

An elderly person accidentally ate a tablet along with its foil followed by severe chest pain.

Gastrograffin swallow study  was done-

There was a esopahegal tear with leak into the right pleural space. It was managed conservatively. After 1 month he developed right sided empyema. So the tear was sealed by a  plugging device. Gastrograffin swallow done after the procedure did not reveal any leak.
